A native of Cork, Ray Power set up Castle Arch Pottery in the Autumn of 1993 in Kilkenny's famous Castle Yard. In his range of pottery you will find a varied selection of domestic accessories ideal for both indoor and outdoor use. The rich glazed surfaces are reminiscent of victorion decorative tiles and of Islamic patterning. The inspiration of these past traditions, coupled with Ray Power's strong contemporary designs and rich colours, ensure that Castle Arch Pottery will embellish and enliven any setting.
The pots are made in small production batches, allowing great attention to be paid to decorative details like handles and feet, and to the fluent slip-trailed decoration and embossed surfaces.
