Sharon
McDaid works in textiles and mixed media in her
studio on the Malin Road outside
Carndonagh, on the way to Ireland’s most northerly
point, Malin Head.
Her work is distinctive and innovative, featuring a range
of techniques including printing, handdying,
stitching and painting. Her artworks are suited to even
the most innovative of interiors
and are very much in demand.
Like many artists working in Donegal, one of Ireland’s
most beautiful counties, she draws her
inspiration from her surroundings. She teams this with
a passion for mixing the old and the new.
Sharon is also an accomplished painter. A wide variety
of her works can be seen throughout
leading galleries, outlets, public and corporate buildings
at home and abroad.
