Michael Kennedy is one of Ireland’s leading ceramic artists. His work is unique and original and evokes all that is the west of Ireland from the untameable energy of the Atlantic, to the delicate colours and forms of the wild Burren flowers.
Michael studied Fine Art at Crawford School of Art in Cork and at the School of Art and Design in Sligo. He completed his studies at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin. Michael returned to Sligo in 1979 and opened his first gallery/shop and pottery in the Market Yard.
