Irish Marble Giftware

Eric Byrne is a second generation master stone mason, working at the Hennessy & Byrne workshop in Dunboyne, County Meath, Ireland. His family has worked with fine marble, including Connemara marble, and granite from Kilkenny and County Wicklow, for over half a century. The ancient stone used in his giftware was formed around 900 years ago, quarried in selected quarries around Ireland, and handpicked by the family to create unique gifts. Connemara marble is found in the Connemara region on the west coast of Ireland. World renowed for its unique green color, this stone is quarried in County Galway. Steeped in myth and mystery, Connemara marble is said to bring serenity and good fortune to those who keep it close. It is the traditional gift among families. Each item is different due to the variations in the grain and texture of this ancient stone. Each piece is part of the Irish landscape. Due to the weight of the stone and differences in appearance of each item, please email us (info@celtiberiatraders.com) or call (1 215 862-4922) so that we can determine shipping costs and send you a photograph of the piece for your consideration.
